16th Annual Polish Film Festival

Art Galleries
The City of Gdynia is looking for art submissions to display in their newly constructed Gdynia City Museum.  The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association is exploring the potential for sending Native American artifacts.

Student Exchanges

Washington Business Week 
For the past three years the Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association has arranged for selected students from Gdynia’s IB School 23 to attend a week-long Washington Business Week program.  Students are given the opportunity to learn about, and apply, basic business concepts.  The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association is also working toward establishing a WBW program based in Gdynia.

Business

Exchanges and Outreach
The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association is routinely approached in regards to brokering exchanges and fostering business development in the Gdynia area.  Many exciting business opportunities await; SGSCA will continue to work with Seattle-area based companies who are interested in expanding their operations into Poland.

General

Aircraft Naming
The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association has been working with Boeing, LOT Airlines and local politicians to name a 787 jet after the City of Gdynia.  When successful, delegates will board an inaugural flight and deliver the plane to Gydnia.

Dar Mlodziezy and Tall Ships
The Gdynia Maritime University is seeking support from the government of Poland and various U.S groups to sail its training ship, Dar Mlodziezy.  The Maritime University staff has asked the Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association to coordinate fundraising and logistical planning events here in the Puget Sound area.

Outreach/Human Services

Hospice
The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association offers support to a hospice in Gdynia, Poland.

Annual Picnic 
The Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association’s annual picnic will be held during the first weekend in August.  Please stay tuned for the exact date, time and location!
