**OLD BUSINESS**
Film Festival
The Film Festival committee will began meeting in October. Meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The festival will run April 10th – 19th this year.
Poster competition deadline is February 15th.
Committee will meet next on March 8th.
Student Exchange Update – Gdynia
Based on the success of the Washington Business Week’s student exchange, SGSCA has created a similar program in Gdynia. Gdynia is prepared to sponsor students and instructors for a weeklong course.
Mike and Janice are writing a grant to present to the U.S. Embassy
List of companies participating in the event will be finalized soon.
Student Exchange Update – Seattle
This is an annual event; students from Gdynia come to attend Washington Business Week’s summer courses.
SGSCA will help sponsor two students for each session
Pacific Lutheran University session 6/22 – 6/28.
Central Washington University session 7/20 – 7/26.
2009 Sister Cities Reception
Seattle-Gdynia will be a featured city at the 2009 Reception. The event is on April 23rd from 6pm – 8pm.
Featured cities are: Sihanoukville, Surabaya, Gdynia and Nantes.
Entertainment is still needed, as are items for the City of Seattle’s display cabinet.
Art Galleries
The Gdynia City Museum had requested an art exchange. Potential for 3 or 4 local artists to exhibit their work in Gdynia.
This project will be placed on hold until 2013 when Gdynia completes construction of a Mediateka. This will allow us to have a larger venue and more time to plan.
**NEW BUSINESS**
April’s SGSCA Meeting
The second Friday in April is Good Friday. The Sister City Association will more than likely change our meeting date to the first Friday in April (April 3rd).
