The City of Seattle’s annual Sister Cities Reception will be held on April 28, 2011 from 6pm – 8pm at City Hall.
Seattle has 21 sister cities, and each year 4 are the focus of the reception. This year, Daejeon (Korea), Galway (Ireland), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Kaohsiung (Taiwan) will be featured. Additionally, there is international entertainment and cuisine, a raffle, silent auctions, and a no-host bar.
During the Reception, two annual awards are handed out, Best Single Project and Best Overall Program. Last year, Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association won Best Single Project for our work on Gdynia Business Week. This year, we are applying for Best Overall Program based on our work with the Seattle Polish Film Festival, Washington Business Week, Gdynia Business Week, and community involvement…be in attendance on April 28th to find out if we win!
Seattle-Gdynia will be selling tickets to the event; pricing is $20.00 for members or $25.00 for non-members. If you are interested in attending, please contact us.
